We currently have an excellent opening at the level of Senior Quantity Surveyor
The opportunity will initially be to join the Commercial Team of a Major Tier 1 Contractor for a £500 Million PrS in East London
The project is a high quality, diverse PrS with a mix of apartment type. These buildings will range from Beautiful Town houses, think Chelsea Town houses, through to high specification mixed size apartments in high rise towers, the tallest of which being high then 35 levels
The team are delivering this project on a JCT D&B Contract, with the project currently undergoing piling, with the team having taken the project to site within the past 3 months
This is the first project of it’s type from this office and so the role has arisen as a new role, with a new Senior Quantity Surveyor required to deliver their skill to the project and to the team
The successful candidate will initially be responsible for managing the upstream change of the D&B Contract, putting procedures in place to manage that potential change and also managing the change as it happens at the front end – working that through, whether it be to examine it as a possibility or execute as a change
The role will report into the Teams Resident Residential Commercial Director
The business are on paper looking for a Quantity Surveying candidate that has previous experience of managing change on major design and build contracts
For an applicant, you will be joining a desirable, major organisation, as part of a high achieving, highly experienced commercial team. You will also be joining a growing part of their tier 1 contracting division, with this project being the first of a number and so with success being delivered in this initial position, the opportunity to progress in the future will be there through the continued delivery of this scheme, or in the future schemes that the team will deliver

Required Education, Skills and Qualifications
Experience of managing and implementing change control on Design and Build Contracts, ideally major design and build contracts
Degree educated – Quantity Surveying related
MRICS or aspiring to be
